Created by artist Ray “Bubba” Sorensen II, the 50 State Freedom Rock Tour shares a simple but powerful message — thank our Veterans — by bringing a unique, state-specific Freedom Rock® to every corner of America.
Over the coming years, Bubba will travel the country painting these large-scale patriotic murals, giving each host community a lasting tribute to its heroes and an instant tourist attraction.
Important: The application below is for information purposes only. The tour is booked on a first-come, first-serve basis — so submit your application early to secure your place in history. In other words, book the artist before you begin fundraising or planning, as efforts made without a confirmed booking could end up all for not.
Trademark notice: You may not use the registered trademark Freedom Rock® for fundraising or promotion without proper booking and written permission.

Note on Design and Storytelling:
Each Freedom Rock® is meant to be unique — telling the stories that are special to its local area or state. While granite monuments that list names or display every branch of service certainly have their place and importance, this project takes a different approach.
The Freedom Rock® Tour was created with three goals in mind:
To Honor our Veterans through meaningful, story-driven art.
To Promote Tourism by giving each community a vibrant, lasting landmark.
To Provide for my Family through my craft and calling I’ve been blessed to pursue.
The tour focuses on mining those one-of-a-kind Veteran stories — bringing them to life through bold, vibrant muralsthat capture their courage, sacrifice, and humanity. Rather than repeating the same tribute everywhere, the goal is to represent all eras, branches, races, and genders collectively across the entire 50-state project through these powerful, individual stories.
Think of each Freedom Rock as one piece of a much larger puzzle — the full picture appears only when you step back and see the tour as a whole. If something isn’t represented on one rock, it likely already is, or soon will be, honored on another.
Please note that the artist retains full creative control over the design and storytelling of each mural, drawing inspiration from the history, ideas, and Veterans shared by each community.
